Product Information

Ingredients: Water, Plant Based Surfactants (including Castile Soap), Proprietary Essential Oil Blend

DIRECTIONS:

Shake Well Before Each Use (Explained)Because this formula uses plant-based ingredients and essential oils without synthetic emulsifiers, natural separation may occur over time. A quick shake brings everything back together!

Let Dry Before Walking on Floors (Explained): We recommend letting floors fully dry before pets, babies, or bare skin comes into contact with them — not because the product is dangerous, but because botanical ingredients are naturally potent and not intended to be ingested. Allowing surfaces to dry helps reduce the chance of skin sensitivity or curious pets licking residue, adding an extra layer of care for everyone in the home.

About Use on Unsealed Floors:

Unsealed or porous floors absorb moisture more easily, so we recommend using caution. Many people successfully use this product on unsealed floor types, but we suggest testing a small area first and avoiding letting any cleaner sit or soak.

All-Natural Ingredients

Plan't Based Surfactants Explained

The word surfactant often scares people in wellness and natural spaces, but it shouldn’t always. At its core, a surfactant is simply what makes cleaning possible. Surfactants are the ingredients that lift dirt, oils, and residue from surfaces so they can be rinsed away. Without them, even the most beautifully scented or natural cleaner wouldn’t actually clean. The fear around surfactants usually comes from their association with harsh, petroleum-derived detergents found in many conventional cleaners. Those formulations can be overly aggressive, irritating, or drying, especially for sensitive bodies. But surfactants themselves are not the problem. The source and formulation matter. Plant-based surfactants are derived from renewable botanical materials like coconut, sugar, or corn. When properly formulated, they are biodegradable, effective, and far gentler than their synthetic counterparts — while still doing the essential work of breaking down grime and buildup. In other words: surfactants aren’t the enemy. They’re the bridge between clean surfaces and safe removal. At Rituals & Botanical Cleaning, we use plant-based surfactants intentionally and sparingly, balancing performance with sensitivity. Our goal isn’t to eliminate surfactants — it’s to use the right ones, in the right way, so cleaning is both effective and considerate of the people living in the space. Cleaning should work. And it should feel good to use.

What Does Non-Toxic Really Mean?

The word non-toxic is often used as a shortcut for “safe,” but in reality, it’s more complicated than that. Just because something is natural or plant-based does not automatically mean it’s harmless. Many natural ingredients — especially botanicals and essential oils — are powerful by nature. When used incorrectly, in the wrong concentration, or without proper knowledge, even natural ingredients can cause irritation or adverse reactions. That doesn’t make the ingredient inherently “toxic” — it means it deserves respect. On the flip side, not every product that avoids the term non-toxic is unsafe or unhealthy. Some companies choose more precise language because they understand that safety is about how ingredients are formulated, balanced, and used — not just what buzzwords appear on a label. Unfortunately, non-toxic is also frequently misused in the cleaning industry. In some cases, it’s applied loosely as a marketing term. In others, products are formulated to meet a narrow definition of “non-toxic” at the expense of performance, resulting in cleaners that are gentle... but ineffective. At Rituals & Botanical Cleaning, we believe safety and effectiveness are not opposing goals. We focus on low-toxicity, function-first formulations: products made with intention, respect for plant potency, and a deep understanding of how ingredients interact with both surfaces and the human body. Our philosophy is simple: powerful ingredients, used thoughtfully, create products that work — without unnecessary harm to people or their homes.
